I. Import Data From a File:
A. Get TAPro Ready for a .QFX or .OFX File Download.
If you download an .QFX (Quicken(tm)) or .OFX (Money(tm)) file,
TAPro can import it. We recommend that setup TAPro for direct import.
Otherwise you can save the file and then load it from within
TAPro.

-
Within TAPro, select "Associated File Types"
-
Select the check boxes for "Import .QIF, QFX and OFX",
this enables TAPro to directly receive the file during the download
process.
-
Select "OK"
-
Leave TAPro open so it can receive the file download.
B. Download the
File.
As of May 2009, a date range of more that the past 3
months requires download of an Excel file. With some minor
editing, TAPro can import the Excel file. Follow these steps:

Select Spreadsheet, then Download.
If the file does not download, check your browser security setting.
For help with file download, contact the Etrade team.:

C. Import .QFX or .OFX File.
If you download a
.QFX (Quicken(tm)) or .OFX (Money(tm)) file, a dialog similar to the following
may appear.

Alternatively, if TradeAccountantPro does
not appear in the list then select
"Save to Disk".
Then open TAPro and choose
File/Import/File.

D. Import Excel File (as tab or comma
delimited)
If you select an Excel file, follow these
instructions to prepare the file for import. As of May 2009 the file
included a " at the beginning and end of each row. This causes a
problem when imported because it appears as one long cell.
For an Example of .CSV/Excel Import -

Open the file in Excel again, this time it
will appear in separate columns. To make import easier, change the
heading to the example heading below. We retained the original
heading for reference. Then save the file as .CSV or Tab separated
.TXT.

II. Enter Data Manually:
You can manually enter trades from the Transaction Screen
by selecting the "Add" button.
