TradeAccountant Online (TAO) offers a combination of web based gain/loss reporting for securities (Schedule D), a private folder for sharing client data and guest/visitor login with account level access control. With TAO, help is only an invitation away.

TAO is a web based solution, designed with simplified reporting in mind. TAO includes a transaction history list view, data download, gain/loss reports, a private folder for sharing documents and export to tax software in standard formats (including .txf) and custom formats, or save a report as a .pdf.

Web Solution

TradeAccountant Online TAO supports sync and file import from select brokerages, plus import from .CSV (Excel®) in TA format and import of .QIF/.QFX (Quicken® format) and import from .OFX (Money® format).

A private version of TAO is available to tax professionals, brokerages and banks to build a custom solution for their brand. For more information visit the Brokerage or Tax Adviser page.

TAO is an annual sales model with transaction aggregation for one year from date of purchase and tax reports ending on 8/31 of the next tax year or set to a custom schedule. You can use TAO today and finish 2009 taxes, plus start tracking trades daily.

Feature Highlights

A Trade Journal:
Transactions are displayed in a simple table for quick reference. TAO includes column and sort controls. Select a year of interest and view transactions or generate a report for that year.
Reports:

TAO standard reports include Schedule D, Schedule D Summary in .csv, Not Grouped Summary, Schedule D as .txf, Symbol Details and Transaction Details. Tax Advisers use the reports page to obtain the information they need to complete a detailed reconciliation, when needed.
Private Folder:
Productivity and automation are great, but sometimes account holders need the help of a trained professional. Your private folder is a place to invite a tax adviser, or friend, to access your transaction history, reconcile your data and upload a reconciled report.

Registration

    After purchasing TAO with a level 2 or 3 license, use the same key to enable TAPro.

    After setting up your account, select upgrade to obtain a license key that includes support for TAPro.

    To activate TAPro, copy the license key from "My Profile" into TAPro File/Update Registration.
